Agility Robotics is now public with $1.8M in sales. A prefab shop should read the filings before signing a robot lease
The first pure-play humanoid robot company began trading on Nasdaq this week. Its $300M order figure is multi-year contract potential, not revenue, and that gap is what a shop owner leasing robots needs to understand.
Agility Robotics, maker of the Digit humanoid, began trading on Nasdaq on November 5, but its 2025 sales were only about $1.8 million. For a mechanical or electrical sub weighing a robot lease for its prefab shop, the useful lesson is to check whether the vendor will still be around to service the machine in year three.
What did Agility Robotics actually do this week?
According to TechRepublic, Agility merged with the SPAC Churchill Capital Corp. XI and began trading as AGLT, at about a $2.5 billion pre-money equity value. The deal brought in roughly $465 million in gross capital, including a PIPE led by Foxconn. Its coverage describes Digit as deployed across nine customer facilities, including Amazon, Toyota and GXO.
We covered the original SPAC announcement in July and the Digit 5 safety design in September. What is new is the paper trail: the filings are public now.
What do the numbers say?
| Item | Reported figure |
|---|---|
| 2025 net sales | About $1.8 million |
| Digit 5 orders | More than $300 million, multi-year |
| Order basis | About 1,000 robots under three-year robot-as-a-service contracts |
| Digit 5 timing | Early access H1 2027, general availability late 2027 |
The Robot Report and TechRepublic both note the $300 million is potential contract value tied to milestones, and that it is concentrated in one customer agreement. It is not money received. Reporting on the S-4 also says part of the small 2025 sales figure went to related parties. Sources do not fully agree on Digit 5 dates.
Why does a trade sub care about a vendor's balance sheet?
Robot-as-a-service shifts the risk. You skip the purchase price, but you depend on the vendor for software updates, parts and technician visits for the length of the contract. A lease with a company that has small revenue and large losses is only as good as its ability to keep funding that support.
Agility now has cash from the listing, which helps. A public company also has to publish its results every quarter, which is information a shop owner never gets from a private startup. Treat that as a free vendor-diligence report.
What should a prefab shop ask before signing?
- What happens if the vendor is acquired or fails? Ask for a written continuity clause: source-code or software escrow, a right to keep running the robots, and a parts commitment.
- Who owns the data? Your tote flows, cycle times and shop layouts are yours. Get that in the contract.
- What is the guaranteed response time? "Support included" means little without hours and penalties.
- What is the exit? Know the early-termination cost on a three-year term before the first robot is on the floor.
- Are the references like your shop? Warehouse tote moving is not a pipe-spool or duct-kitting floor. Ask for a site with comparable work.
What is still unproven?
Digit's track record is in logistics and auto manufacturing, not construction prefab. Nothing we found shows a Digit running in an MEP or modular plant, and Digit 5 is not generally available until late 2027 at the earliest. Backlog numbers also tend to shrink when milestones slip.
Takeaway: If a humanoid or any robot lease is on your 2027 plan, pull the vendor's SEC filings or financials before the demo, and put the five questions above into the term sheet. Watch Agility's first quarterly report as a read on how fast real orders convert to revenue.

- Is Agility Robotics publicly traded?
- Yes. Agility Robotics began trading on Nasdaq on November 5, 2026 under the ticker AGLT after merging with the SPAC Churchill Capital Corp. XI at about a $2.5 billion pre-money equity value.
- How much revenue does Agility Robotics have?
- Regulatory filings reported by The Robot Report and TechRepublic show about $1.8 million in net sales for 2025. Its $300 million figure is multi-year order value for Digit 5, not current revenue.
- When can a contractor buy or lease a Digit 5 robot?
- Reports point to early access in the first half of 2027 and general availability by late 2027, though sources do not agree on every date.
- What should a prefab shop check before signing a robot-as-a-service contract?
- Check what happens to the robots, software and support if the vendor is acquired or fails, who owns the operating data, and what service response times are guaranteed in writing.
